Talking New M3 owner!

Hi folks-
Just wanted to say hi. I just bought a new 2011 M3 Vert in Alpine White on black. LOVE. THIS. CAR. This is my first M car. My last 5 cars were also 3 series getting a little more powerful with each purchase. My last car was an '09 335i vert. Very nice car, but there's really no comparison here. I can't even rev this thing yet and I can tell this is another beast altogether.

I understand most of the power in this car is over 5K rpms. That's killing me because I'm not allowed to even rev to 5K. I can wait. It's still super fun to drive.

Pics later this week!
Thanks!

You know, I'm a stick guy from way back. I've only had one auto in 30 years of driving and at least 15 cars. Hated that auto. That was a 2002 325i. Nothing special and a slush box. Boring as hell.

This is a totally different experience. Lightning fast shifts with ZERO lag between gears. It's plain weird. Awesome too. If I want to shift myself there's the paddles. Again, no lag or loss of momentum at all. Just GO.

Fun stuff I love it.

It's hard to keep it below 5,500 rpm the first 1,200 mls. I messed up 7 times with 7,400 being the worst. Car doesn't seem the worse off for it.

Yea, it's a little tough staying below 5. Somehow, (maybe because I could really break some expensive stuff) I've managed.

Here's some pics! Bone stock.
