Flying High @ O'Hare

Is it me? Is it my obsession with my pending SG,FR E92 that should be on a boat any day? Or does there really seem to be an M3 ad around every corner at what I refer to as my "office" (Chicago O'Hare - I am there every week)?. They are taunting me!! If you come through O'Hare, you be the judge.

I've noticed increasing numbers of banner ads (backlit ~3x5 foot ads) coming into O'Hare over the last month. But, today, they seemed to be everywhere! And there was a HUGE ~10' x 20' billboard in the main (B) terminal. I know there have been similar posts but, FYI.

^ And then some. I wonder, with the economy in the crapper and gas prices at all time highs; will the M3 launch be less than stellar...at least after the first 3-6 months?

The 18s don't do much for an AW car. Strange that they chose that combo to do lifesize ad.

The O'Hare photos have been up since at least 3/5--I was rushing through the airport that day and did not have time to stop and take pics. Good job. I know BMW tends to understate the 0-60 times, but if the mags are getting 4.1 to 4.3, I wish the marketing material that is plastered all over did not state the 4.8 time. Oh well.

I've notcied that BMW NA is doing some heavy marketing for the new M3's, between the airport ads and all of the magazine ads. I can't remember this much advertising for any other model release. Maybe they knew in advance that new M3 sales might not be stellar due to the economy.

i agree that there are many billboards and i have even seen ads online while on motortrends website. But how come i have not seen any TV commerials.

Met too! The large banner was abou 25' x 15'. If it is soft enough...would make a great car cover

No clue. I have heard of a few folks getting free "M3 posters" at purchase but, I have no idea which posters. I'll start a thread.
