I think that is optimistic.

The new F32 won't even debut until early 2013. It is unlikely the M3 version will be available less than one year later. In fact, 1.5+ years after introduction is probably more likely, see the timeline of the F10 intro vs. M5 version.

I would say there little chance you can buy a new F32 M3 before the end of 2014.

Maybe you can if you live in Taiwan like the OP. But then maybe not either - I'm not so familiar with M3 release timeline in Asia and such.

For the US, though, you are most likely correct.

Irvine BMW has a pilot production 2013 F32 M3 demo right now! It's Sienna Sapphire Metallic over Dijon leather and looks simply amazing. I only got a short test drive though, as there was actually a line of local M3 owners waiting for a chance to demo and place our deposits. My first impression is that the new engine is a BIG relief! It is an inline-six with a roots-type supercharger and two small KKK exhaust turbos. It builds boost instantly and redlines at 8,250 rpm with a somewhat muted howl (the big drawback to the turbos is that they stifle intake and exhaust sounds)

Anyway, I decided not to drop a deposit on one, because they are asking $88,990 base and that's a bit too steep for me. For that price I'd rather have four Toyota Camrys.

P.S. They went back to the single-clutch SMG II transmission because it is the only one that can handle the 470 LbFt of torque produced by the new motor.
