ATL - Asian food destinations
Just checking in with the community to see where everyones favorite asian cuisines can be found. Anyone with any discovered gems?
Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, Japanese... etc. Few ones that I like thus far. Vietnamese - Quoc Huong Banh Mi & fast foods is my favorite Banh Mi - even if the place's food safety score scares the shit out of me. Pho - I like Pho 24 but its crazy inconsistent, Pho Dai Loi is alright as well. I have tried most on Buford Hwy. Chinese - I like Canton house for dim sum, haven't really found a place that I like for other regional Chinese. Most places are just Cantonese.. although I would love some real Schezuan. Little Schezuan was reasonable, if not completely Cantonese. Thai - I like Tuk-Tuk, if you keep it simple, they have a pork noodle dish that's pretty good. Naan is pretty good if not very Americanized. Japanese - Miso Izakaya in inman park was pretty solid last time I went. Have tried to go to Shoya off of PTree Ind. but its been closed both times. |

In terms of hidden gems, I like Hankook Taqueria on Collier and also King & I Thai near Ansley Mall. The prices are also more than reasonable.

There is another location, but I haven't been to it) Korean - Woo Nam Jeong Stone Bowl House (BFD HWY) Korean BBQ - Honey Pig (Duluth) or Hae Woon Dae BBQ (BFD HWY) Thai - Little Bangkok (Cheshire Bridge) Chinese Schezuan - Peter Chang's Tasty China 2 (Sandy Springs) Chinese BBQ - Ming's BBQ (Duluth location is a bit better then BFD HWY) Last edited by weaksauce; 08-07-2012 at 01:35 PM.. Oh, btw - if you are looking for Schezuan. I really highly recommend Tasty China 2. Don't mind the Americanized name. Just be prepared for some serious heat if you get anything spicy.
