I think I'm done with my iPhone 7 Plus. So many glitches and apps constantly crash, even after I was told updating all the apps would fix the issue. Once I find a good deal on a Samsung Galaxy I'm jumping ship.

Tim Cook is doing a fantastic job and this was just confirmed by shareholders during the shareholders meeting.

The true value of AAPL will be realized in the long term. Wait until they announce their updated capital return program and they buyback 1B+ shares while making $60B in FCF annually.

Be ready for a much more negative experience with Android. I've owned Android for years...it just sucks. My note shut itself down and boot looped after 3 battery replacement and zero support from Samsung.

Android is buggy, crashes all the time, and generally receives few if any updates. I ran the same version of Android for 3 years because I never received an update. Garbage.

Honestly, how many Apple shares do you own? I know you'll never say anything negative, so I'm not surprised, just admittedly curious.

I feel my views on Apple have been well established in the past by me, so I won't bother with this thread, save to say, I don't like Apple. In some respects, I acknowledge its an irrational hatred, but there are elements for which there are basis.

Nahhhhh, he will never even come close to Steve Jobs. Only Jony Ive can fill Jobs shoe. Shareholders are focus on Apple, not on Cook No wonder Cook calls succession a priority

I own many thousand shares and have no problem saying it. I own that much because it's a fantastic company, making incredibly good products, and just made $20B in profit in 90 days on $88.3B in sales. Selling $1B in products per DAY is amazing. People love their products, at record levels.

There are negative things about Apple, like every company, but they are just such a cash producing behemoth, there is nothing not to like about their stock. It's way too cheap, but I like it that way so Apple can keep buying up the shares while turning it into a services company with 1.3B active users.

The negatives are small issues that the biggest company in the world have. The positives far outweigh the negative.

Cook is 57. He was answering a question. Being CEO of the largest company in the world is a tough job. He probably wants to retire in a few years.

BTW, I won't get into the Jobs vs. Cook argument because both are great, but Jobs had many shortcomings. He was a genius, who by the way, hand picked Cook for CEO, but was stubborn as a mule and an asshole.

Jobs simply refused to ship a larger screen iPhone, a mistake Cook corrected with incredible results.Cook is a genius too particularly in operations. Cook has grown iPhone from 70M units shipped annually, to over 220M iPhones shipped annually.

Don't forget, he was Job's #2 for many years and was the brains behind the incredible supply chain logistics.

Apple now makes the best mobile silicon, the best selling watch (not just smart watch), the best selling truly wireless headphones, the best selling single Phone, and created a growing services business that has annual sales only behind iPhone.

Watch this company shift into healthcare and services which will expand the multiple significantly. Very very long AAPL.

Disregarding threads like these and ignoring a recent hike in complaints towards Apple in general, is never a good strategy when investing. No company is invincible.

Dwelling on minor issues is also not a good strategy.

Your "hike in complaints" narrative is not backed by any numbers or facts other than that they are reported in isolated cases. Your source is that "threads like these" prove the company is doomed? LOLOLOL!! They are addressing the major stuff, better than most companies would. BTW, there is not anything I am not aware of regarding stories on Apple. I read every piece of news, both fake and reputable. I have to with this many shares.

My facts are $88.3B in sales and $20B in profit (all records and up 13% y/y) with all time highs in customer satisfaction across products.

See the forest through the trees. Or short it if you think I'm wrong. I don't care what you do/

I am NOT talking about Apple Inc. Its one of the best companies in the World. Period.

We are talking about software aspect of iOS. Its worse release since 2007 and its Cook fault. He is good COO but not CEO material. We need Jobs or Ivy mind-set.

Apple is a superior company and nothing should be less than extraordinary for Apple.

I'd rather wait until my schedule opens up and pay $30 to get it done by Apple themselves. Plus, I don't live around any malls with those kiosks.

I enumerated just a few of his accomplishments. Blaming him for iOS 11 and calling his entire tenure a failure because of it is just stupid.

They've already announced delaying features in iOS 12 to smooth out and refine code. iOS 11 has largely been fixed from the first release anyway.

11.3 will be even better. Calm down.

In regards to the updates I think it has more to do with tech companies trying to get new stuff out as quick as possible to stay ahead of the market. I see this with all sorts of stuff being in the technology industry. Nothing like trying to fix a laptop that was bricked from a Windows update.

While more testing should be done before updates are pushed out, you can't blame Cook for wanting to stay ahead of the game as CEO.

That's very odd. Have you not gone to the Apple store for support? This sounds like a hardware issue and is not normal.

Also the grass is not greener on the Android side. I tried 4 different Android devices before coming back to an iPhone.
