Can someone help me with my wife's 2003 Discovery?

Had the red SRS light come on the dash. Had local place check for codes but not getting anything. I think for the airbags the dealer device needs to be used. Nearest dealer is 2 hrs away. Just wondering if there is a quick fix to clear light? No accidents or anything......TIA

An old Land Rover with an electrical issue? Never.

Universal fix:
  1. Dig Hole
  2. Bury Land Rover
  3. Buy new Land Rover

Could be a seatbelt sensor.. I used to have to replace those in my old VW all the time.

Good luck with it. There really is no kind of (non dealer) specialist near where you live?

Where I live, Edwardsburg, MI, the best restaurant is also the bait shop.....we have two stop lights and are still getting used to the second one.....so no....not really.

There are a couple specialist shops in the Indiana border towns but only for BMW and MB. The only one I found while searching that deals with Disco is in Churubusco, In.....not really closer than a dealer. I was just thinking that with all the international presence on this site....someone might have a quick solution for me.........

Bit of a long shot but could be the seatbelt contacts. Try taking some wd 40 and spraying some in the receptacles and then snap the buckle in and out a bunch of times to get help get rid of any dirt.

Try searching the land rover forums to see if there are any know issues/fixes.

Good luck

I can completely sympathize... while we did have a taco bell and a mcdonalds where I grew up the likelihood of someone being able to work on a german (or anything non 'merican) was very tough find.

Good call on the LR forums. Good luck man..
