My wish for a BMW App
I was driving into work today - really raining hard - & I started thinking.
Being somewhat of a weather junkie - I only have @20-25 weather apps on my iPhone - they have some very nice radar apps available. How hard would it be for someone to design this app to be visible on my iDrive screen? Just a random thought - but I think it would not only be really neat - but quite useful. I thought at one time one company was trying to integrate this type of feature into a handheld unit - but it seems like a match made in heaven. Radar App - iPhone - iDrive |

That would be useful.
I know BMW wouldn't do it from a legal standpoint, but I'd like a "Customization App", that allows for adjustment of car settings that can currently be done through coding. So you can set your mirrors to fold, adjust shift lights, allow remote start, etc....

I think BWM live does that... I could be wrong though.

I would like BMW apps installed however the sponsors want a arm and a leg for a wire and reprogramming.

I'd also love to get weather radar into the idrive display.
It seems like such a no-brainer to have a radar overlay on the nav map. I'm guessing BMW controls the allowed BMW apps so strictly nobody wants to develop for it.
