Exclamation iPod issues

I have a 2011 M3 with the iPod/USB option. I am attaching an iPod mini to it and am having a hard time seeing any playlists. Does anyone have a workaround or suggestions?

Thanks

I've experienced some issues with my iPODs as well. I've learned that the NANO 3G works best... so I just load my playlists into that one and gave up in trying to fix the issues.

No issues with my iPod, a 6th gen Nano. Just to be sure, you are using the standard white iPod cable and not the BMW "Y" cable to connect the iPod?

And do you literally mean the iPod Mini? That was discontinued six years ago. Try a newer iPod/iPhone and see if the issues are still there. If you are using an old Mini, I suspect the issue is simply the ancient (by today's standards! ) hardware/software are not compatible with the BMW system.

I have a 2011 as well with ipod/usb and no Idrive. I've had no issues except that no Apple device will work without the old BMW Y-cable. Since the cable was provided I don't care. I use a flash drive 100% of the time anyway but still wonder what gives.

Right. I was assuming that since the OP says he can't see the playlists that he has iDrive. Guess we also need to know his build date to whether he is the older system or the combox based system... CLealry I was assuming he had the combox!
