Battery tender with a battery for a power source

I was just wondering if anyone else here parks in a public garage, and doesn't really have access to electrical outlets to charge their battery. I have seen portable (i.e., on wheels) battery chargers at car dealerships, so I know something grossly like this exists . . . But I can't seem to find a "tender" type smart-charger that is battery powered. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Err... I don't recall seeing any battery powered trickle chargers I'm afraid. That's like... buying another battery unless you're talking about the ones that hold enough of a charge to just "jump" your car.

You could always just drive the car, and eliminate the need for a charger...

I don't think that would be suitable for a long term storage option. But that was what I was referring to.

Of course, that is, in a significant sense, the "right" solution. However, sometimes the car just has to sit for a week or two (visiting family over the holidays, work travel, etc.).

That is not precisely what I meant, but, after doing lots of searching, I think the closest setup is the following:

(1) Something similar to the link(s) you posted, many of which can supply 120 VAC.

(2) Use (1) as the power source for the Battery Tender.

However, hopefully, glockperfect's suggestion will be enough . . .

Do you guys know of any good units? I plan to hook one up to the car while I put it in hibernation.

Are you in the same boat and not have an outlet near by?

If you do, you can't beat
