Camber plate install?

Anyone have a local shop do this? I've gotten quotes from a few places and it sounds like 3hrs labor (when it should only take 2), and ~$200 for track and street alignments. Really? Over $500 for install and alignment? I might have to do this on my own although I've never messed with my struts/springs before. I'm planning on the Vorshlag plates on stock ZCP EDC.

Where did you get those quotes from? That's how much I paid for a full suspension installation and alignment.

Cantrell and Speedware. Camber plates install isn't that much different from full coilover install unfortunately. Maybe I'm just being cheap.

You can take it to Group2 or Cohesive Garage. I'm getting my car re-aligned and dialed in by Cantrell next week. Their price is higher but I've heard great things about them.

Speedware Motorsports aligned and quarter balanced my car for about $450. They gave me a street and race settings.

Its a lot of work to install camber plates. You have to de-pressurize the springs and put them back. That takes time. It took me 4.5 hrs when I installed my V3s with Voshlag camber plates. Then take in account for the time it takes for an alignment. If you plan on upgrading your struts in the future, then I would wait, the Vorshlag plates are different depending on the strut. I know that the Vorshlag plates for the stock strut will not fit KWs.

Anyone DIY this? I'm having a hard time finding a weekday that I can actually have my car in the shop.

You can DIY. I was going to do my own springs. Pretty similar steps. Autozone has spring compressor for 55 bucks and you can return in 60 days for refund so basically renting it.

Eventually you will need to get an alignment so might as well do it all.

Yeah alignment. Why aren't the good shops open on saturday?
Also, It's the strut top nut that has me worried if I tackle this myself. I don't have air tools but I need to buy a portable impact wrench anyway. Is an air impact necessary?

Edit: F it. I set up with Group 2 and I'll take a taxi to work. April 17th!

Air impact is not necessary. A strut nut removal box end, or pass-through ratchet is all you need. How did the install go?
