Lots of MMA recently, but we haven't had a killer event in a while.

Just a few more weeks and we should be on a roll though!

so the h-bomb has another victim, I personally thought the fight was called a bit early, but it was close

Hendo v Fedor, I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I thought it was called off a bit early too, would love to see it play out for a few more seconds considering we've seen some epic finishes (Kongo and Lesnar). I understand it's better to call the fight off early than to call one off too late though but there was a lot on the line.

I'm not sure what Fedor had to gain in that fight versing an older and smaller opponent whereas Hendo has everything to gain. It's always sad to see a legend go down but it's part of the sport.

What's everyone predictions on Rashad and Ortiz? Technically Ortiz one the last fight but he lost a point so it was declared a draw.

I have to vote for Rashad to set up the Jones v Evans fight.

Unfortunately that fight is no longer happening anymore. Jones has this rare condition where thumb injuries occur just before he has to fight Evans. It is a non-life threatening it's just not worth the risk.

I think Evans will destroy Ortiz. I saw some footage and Rashad looks like he's in awesome condition and he's really hungry to fight.

Jones fighting Evans doesn't pose much risk for Jones.

What does Evans being in awesome condition mean? When has he not been in awesome condition?

I see it a bit diff, the reason why Oritz won 2 rounds was cause of his constant cage holding, if he didnt hold the cage all those times, he would have been taken down and prob would have lost that round and the fight. I think Tito has a punchers chance but Evans should take this pretty easily

and I would agree that Jones ducked Evans, too much of a coincidence to get injured and as soon as Evans agrees to a fight, Jones is good to go. Which is crazy to think, cause I would think Jones would beat Evans pretty decisively

I'm a huge believer in ring rust. I think it affects a lot of fighters so anything more than a 1 year break turns into a disadvantage. When I say Rashad looks like he's in awesome condition, I think physically we will see the best Rashad we've ever seen.

Agreed, Ortiz did stall a bit in that fight. But according to the judges he still would have won if he didn't lose that point. From what I've seen so far, Jones can beat anyone in the LHW division, the guys a beast and throws everything with bad intentions. Stylistically, I think the best matchup to beat him would be Machida but his invincibility has been lost since he suffered his first KO. I also think Rashad would surely have a smart tactical fight against Jones and I'm not sure how strong Jones is mentally, that would probably be his best bet to break down a guy like that. I still see Jones steam-rolling through the LHW division though and wouldn't bet against him.

Am I the only one in here picking Tito over Rashad... Yeah, I like the odds. 2 heavy stacks on Tito for my betting pleasure.

P.S. My personal opinion is that Rashad is a fucking scrub Joke, bitch ass fuck wad. But it plays no part in my betting, just saying.

i just cant see how Tito can win, Rashad is too fast and too good, he is a much better fighter than he was when they first met, while Tito is basically still the same guy. But if Rashad comes out sloopy like Bader did, then no doubt Tito is putting him to sleep

now personality wise I dont think Daniel is too far off but Tito isnt exactly Mr cool guy either

what i cant wait for is McDonald vs Pyle and Miller vs "Bendo" next week, these should be epic fights

Zuffa just got ride of these 3 fighters: Marloes Coenen, John Einemo and Valentijn Overeem.

How the fuck can you get rid of a former champ that just lost a fight of Marloes Coenen??? Plus her wins all came in decisive fashion via subs. I'm reading that they are cutting all Golden Glory fighters.

I was about to say put some money down on Tito because he's paying about the same as the Bader fight.

That's how I see it too. I think Rashad is one of the most improved fighters in the game. I think he's probably one of the most successful and promising TUF winners. Also, he's been training for Jones then Davis and now he's getting Tito. I'm sure he'll be trying to send a message to Dana and the LHW division.

I know man, I couldnt believe it either. Marloes is the shit, she has never had a boring fight, she is all heart. But it seems like Zuffa doesnt want any part of Golden Glory fighters, seems like its all due Alistair not competing in the tourney and now they are taking their revenge on the rest of the team, simply horrible

this is who they cut,

Alistair Overeem - current champ
Marloes Coenen - just lost tittle after a losing a close fight
Jon Olav Einemo - lost his only UFC fight but got Fight of the night award
Valentijn Overeem - this one I can prob understand, he looked awful in his last fight

but the other 3 make absolutely no sense

if what Dana said yesterday about why the golden glory guys were cut is true, then I understand why he had to let them go.

Apparently, Golden glory wants to get paid by the UFC, instead of the UFC paying the fighters. Then Golden glory pays the fighters and according to Dana thats against the law in the US since its the UFC pays the fighting commission and they pay the fighters

Either way, Marlos and Alistair need to be fighting in the US!

I saw that too. Seems there is a lot we don't see or know about that goes on.

Anyways, keen as mustard for tomorrows fights

I know, but I'm also a firm believer in ring rust as well. Tito made me quite a bit of money against Bader, so I'm hoping he does the same with that clown Rashad. If he loses, oh well, it's just money that I made from Tito last time lol.

Sexiyama will be released after tonight. No chance, stand-up is average at best. Judo requires clinch, he won't be able to get close enough to phenom. KO in second round due to face unrecognizable.
