BT Cable?
Okay, I may get "flamed" for asking this; however, I have yet to try my old BT cable with my new M3. I used the crap out of it with my heavily modded 335I.
I found it most odd (and troubling) that when I took my new M3-in for her 1st service the Tech never went out to my car, but knew my exact mileage among other parameters about my car. It almost felt like BMW is spying on me!!!!!! So, now I am wondering if I start using the BT cable will "they" know? LOL!! Thanks!

The key stores mileage and a lot of other data.
You can use the BT tool, it's not an issue.
