How to get rid of grime on carbon fiber roof

Wash, Claybar, and waxed car, but my carbon fiber roof still has a layer of white grime on it

Is there anyway to get rid of it besides using a polisher?

I've seen videos of people using a polisher pad/compound - would this be a good mid way point if I'm not willing to use a polisher?

Depends on what it really is. You can try hand polish, won’t hurt.

Light machine (d/a - random orbital) polish with foam pad. If it's the clear coat breaking down, you want to polish it as finely as possible to restore clarity with as little paint removed as possible.

At the cars' age, it might just be time to re-clear the CF, esp if it's yellowed.

Those are early signs of your gel coat starting to fail.

You can polish it out and apply a layer of wax so it doesn’t come back quickly. Reapply the wax after 4-5 washes (assuming car is garaged).
