I totally agree Glenn...... If a salesperson has little or no say in the negotiations he is not really a salesperson....... Since you are in sales you understand better than anyone what needs to happen to keep clients happy. Maybe they will clue in..... I speak to Shane quite often and I am going to make him aware of these issues and we will see if things change. |

I am in sales also. And that is a sure way to not to make sales. The salesmen needs to have the power to negotiate or he is just a order taker. And my feeling is, if you have to go through all those steps to negotiate a fair price on your car then you are way better going somewhere where they can make a deal. Without wasting precious time and oxygen.

The service appointment went well and met expectations. I have a couple of outstanding warranty items that required parts (speed sensor and iDrive control pod) and they are on order from Germany. The car's US warranty was validated and activated without any nonsense whatsoever.
The charge for the 24K km oil change and engine filter was $390 which seemed to be fair based on my research. I asked the service advisor not to wash the car despite her insistence and in the end they complied with my wishes. I chatted with Rastafarian Jerry the detailer while he drove me to the office and concluded that was a wise decision. I admit that's totally based on a first impression and he likely does superlative work with all that focus and some snacks. When asked about Swissvax I got a blank stare, moments later when it registered that Swissvax was some sort of detailing product he professed his high regard for the BMW products. No blow jobs or homemade organic, gluten free cookies though and I guess if you're used to that level of service in comparison this visit would rate subpar. Lol, who has gluten free cookies?
Yeah, on the washing, the dealership is the worst place to get your car cleaned. Sh*t Bubbles would prob do just as good a job wrecking your paint. Get a professional detailer for that job. |

Hey guys,
I'm having a hard time choosing a color for the ///1M. What are your thoughts? I initially had it ordered in BSM, now changed to VO, but not sure if I could live with it. Can someone give me some reassurance =p. Btw I have not seen the BSM or AW in person, only VO. So if you own one of these colors , let's meet up!

I never was a member here when I drove my ///m3 2002 in Edmonton for almost 4 years (2004 to 2007). Sold her in Ontario last spring. Anyway when I lived in Edmonton I never saw many ///M3 cars nor in Red Deer or Calgary only once in a while. So I was wondering how many ///M drivers are there in Alberta? Perhaps you or someone can start a poll here in the Canada area, I cannot do it since I no longer live in Alberta I recommend the poll should ask ... Heading: Let's find out how many ///M drivers there are in Alberta Thread Entry: Let us take a few minutes and vote where you mainly drive your car the nearest city below will do fine ... Poll Entry: Fort MacMurray Edmonton Calgary Lethbridge Thanks for voting

Thanks to the oil industry, there are plenty of M-car owners around Edmonton these days. In the month that I've owned mine, I have probably spotted 7 or 8 different cars driving around. There is somebody with a SSII E90 with aftermarket brakes who lives around my neck of the woods (Rutherford). I'm guessing they're on here...
I've got a SGM E90. |

Dinan springs are a step up in stiffness for sure.
Like driving in Nomal mode but set for comfort. Definitely better in the corners. If it was a summer car it would be ok but I 4 season my M3 so I'd prob not do it again. Less clearance and really unnecessary. Better to get some smokin sticky summer tires with lightweight rims. |
