In The Nick of Time
Had my Service Engine Soon light come on (Increased Emissions) several days ago so called and made the appointment to take it in. Car is a early 2011 build (DCT) with 44k miles. Then last night right before I got home from work the screen popped up with Fuel Pump Malfunction and then Reduced Power. Car did not go into limp mode but the transmission seemed to get "clunky" shifting from 7th down to 6th then down to 5th. My service appointment was this morning and have not heard from the dealer as of yet but referring back to my Subject Title ... my warranty expires on the 19th. Whew.

So I get a email that my car is ready. No phone call just a email. Anyways, after all the lights that came on on my dash all they did was replace the low pressure fuel sensor. I have a week left on my warranty so everything covered. I'll pick it up next week when I get back in town but I'm still unsure about spending the bucks on an extended warranty.

I can beat that...
I got the increased emissions fault a month ago. My warranty expires in April, so I made my appointment for mid March. When I got there the service manager asked me if I had any other concerns. I listed a few things like the seat belt arms don't work and some peeling of the steering wheel. But I decided to go against what I hear on the forums "first gear to second gear is always bad" bla bla bla and I reported about how my first to second grinds when the transmission is cold. I got a call later that day saying that they had to replace the transmission. On top of that I also found out that the person who purchased the car before me also purchased the extended maintenance plan. Lucky me... Last edited by Gmower; 04-11-2014 at 04:54 PM.. |
