Where to Powdercoat Wheels in LA?
Any suggestions on where I can get wheels powdercoated black in the LA area? Preference is in West LA...OC is a little too far for me. Thanks--any help is appreciated!

yeah, i've been on the fence about powdercoating the OEM 19s. not sure how that would look on SSII though.
I couldn't find any pix of M3s, but i saw this silverstone m5 with black wheels on one of the MFEST threads...i think it looks pretty good. what do you guys think? |

It's an individual preference. Personally, I don't like the look of the stock 19s in Black. Silverstone II is a classy color and the stock 19s look great with it. Black aftermarket wheels are a different story.

I find black rims to make the car look dirty or incomplete... but that's my own personal preference and there are always exceptions.

yeah...i'm all over the place. sometimes, i'm loving black wheels (had them on my E46 m3) and other times my heart is set on traditional "silver" wheels (like LMs).
i probably need to wait a while to see what i really want. although, i may postpone the decision so much that i'm stuck with the OEMs! (which isn't a bad option). |

FastForwardWheels.Com in Alhambra. Downside with them is that it might take up to 2 weeks to finish all 4 wheels depending how busy they are.

These guys work out of a unit a few down from mine:http://www.pacificcoastpowdercoating.net/
They do quick, excellent, and fair priced work. Ask for Kevin or Brandon and tell say Uri from ColorRite sent you. They even run to LA all the time so they'll be able to help arrange pick-up or drop-off. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, BTW, they are just good people. |
