Car randomly shut off?

So I\'m at a light today and as it turns green my car just kind of sputters and turns off. Not like a stall shut off but just slowly rpms go down till the car turned off. It turned right back on after and seems fine now but just wondering if I should be worried about something being wrong. Any ideas?

Did you accidentally hit the auto start/stop button (circled below)? Haha.

So anyway, I was curious......what function do all these buttons perform. Looks like there is auto start/stop and convertible top operation shown here. I also know that the second button is for the rear sunshade if your car is so equipped. Do the outer buttons ever do anything?

Depending on options & Year from left to right....

Left Seat Heater, Front PDC, Rear SunShade, Hill Assist, Auto Start/Stop, Right Seat Heater.

I believe in MY2010 the heated seats buttons were permanently moved into the HVAC unit when it had the option.

I enabled stop/start once for fun.. then forgot I did it. Freaked out at a light. With a manual transmission it is pretty scary stuff. Never again.

lol...no, I don't have the start/stop option on my car. Its a 2011 manual. I didn't let go of the clutch by mistake or anything either. I think all I had done was take my foot off the brake. Maybe not even that.

I was just gonna say this. My DCT shut off twice like that in 2 years. Both were after a fill.

Well, it's happened to me and others and now you so not uncommon but definitely abnormal.

First time I've read of a manual with this issue. I've seen it discussed in other threads here and attributed to 'bad' gas. I don't know about that as I've experienced it at more than one gas/brand station. I thought if that was the case it might be on account of the shit gas we Californians have to suffer through but you're obviously on the other coast and I'm assuming filled up with the good stuff.

Doesn't happen much for me, and has been preceded by fluctuating revs (dct), so not 'dangerous' yet.

It's really weird. I didn't get any fluctuations in rpms though. Maybe I just let the gas get too low before refilling it or something.
