It would be tough because no tunes openly advertise setting obd readiness.

Illinois uses just an OBD read correct?(per their website) So shouldn't a typical tune that resets your CEL should suffice? That's my plan in WI(I'm running catless too) and that's what I've done on past cars.

No, because to pass you need to set exhaust catalytic cycle readiness. Not just turn off the cel.

I have read on this forum in the past that people have passed readiness inspections with the tune. Just visual and sniffer tests are what would cause you to fail.

I believe that is correct... there are a few tunes that keep readiness intact apparently. I personally do not want a tune so I am very interested in those who can pass w o2 spacers / mini cats. I plan to maybe just go the test pipe route, but still want to pass emissions.

if you go the test pipe route you can aways save the cats and bolt them back up

Yea will save them... from what i heard its not easy to bolt back up due to the angle where you need to cut... need to be welded back in... but i may be mistaken.

There's someone wanting me to hold it for $250 so if you're ok with that, I'd just let it go.

What tunes preserve readiness? This is the only thing holding me back from a test pipe and tune
