I've had mine for about 6 months now and love it. Am contemplating doing a x-pipe to get rid of the secondary cats and mufflers, but just not 100% on if its going to be too loud.

I don't get drone, but then even if I did, it wouldn't bother me. I agree with the highway remark, its got enough noise but not enough to be annoying.

Exhausts down here are ridiculously priced, so the Megan was a great option.

FYI a couple pics to add to the OP's!

The exhaust centers up perfectly (I measure 3 times)! Pic doesn't make you think that though for some reason...

As I said, I was only looking at the early models, and even people that have it installed said it does not line up properly. I've definitely done my research and quite a few cars showed this problem, but who knows, it could just be install issues. Your car does indeed seem to line up perfectly though. Beautiful E90 you got there!!

On a side note, I'm supposed to be heading to Charleston from Greer this weekend. Hoping there's not too much water over there right now

I think my ears have already adjusted to the increased decibels. Adding an x-pipe now doesn't seem too unreasonable, whereas immediately after install it did.. Funny how that happens.

As of tonight I'll have to say that I'm interested as well. Maybe one of the quad resonated varieties (Borla, Dinan) to keep the sound in check (?). If I do go this route, it won't be until next spring for me.

This is the best Megan + x-pipe footage that I've been able to find.

The Sosi X-pipe seems to be the cheapest one I can find, delivered to Oz. I've seen a Remus version on ebay, but that also looks like a H-pipe?

I wish you were closer so I could hear that! I've been on the fence about getting an x pipe because I don't know what it will REALLY sound like. Plus I worry about warranty issues if I ran into any.

Cool thanks, they have the e92 listed, I will have to call in regards to the e90 it looks like.

Anybody have a picture of the Blue Titanium tips installed on a Jerez Black? Curious as to what it looks like.

How difficult would it be to sand off the Megan Racing name off the exhaust tips? I like the way the exhaust looks, but not the "badged" exhaust tips.

You might be able to do that. Put some heat through the system and it turns a copper color, including the tips. Megan Racing badges are barely visible now on mine.

I was considering Akrapovic but when I heard the Megan in person at a local Meet in Northern Virginia I was sold. I had mine for 3 weeks and it sounds better as it gets older. I will soon get test pipes and a BPM Tune to finish it off. Test Pipes, BPM Tune, and Megan for the price of 1 Akrapovic. And for the record I'm not knocking Akrapovic (agruably the best on the market) but I want my money to go as far as possible.

I will never understand how agency power didn't get a design patent on their exhaust for this to happen. The construction is a tad bit different but almost the same.

My agency power with rpi midpipe:

I feel that you can see in the OP's pictures of the two exhausts on the lawn that the Megan exhaust isn't going to fit properly. The tips look completely uneven from the left to the right side.

Think the muffler section was slid further onto the right connecting pipe in that pic. We were just getting things put together.

There were install quirks as noted in the op, but the fitment once installed was spot on. 100% level left to right, and across the 4 tips.

Have Megan + TP's + BPM S2 tune and like it but want a bit louder set up.

Thinking about removing the secondaries and replacing them with resonators or just sections of straight pipe since that's a lot cheaper than a new rear section to give me some more volume and a change in high end tone...
