Congratulations, Mark! God it feels like it's been forever since you first started working with BMW on this car, but I'm sure that it felt even longer for you. Sorry to hear that the GTS wheels weren't ready, but I'm glad that you're having them shipped out to you. Post some pics when they arrive, and congrats again.

Thanks for the comments everyone, much appreciated. Been a long time but finally.......
Now how do I go about bribing the ship captain to get her over here before mid June????? Oh, and I forgot. I complained to BMW about the skinny tires on the Comp Package rims. They are out of place and look stupid. They're going to get back to me. We'll see...... |

Hey Mark, great car and especially love the shift boot. Looks like a great trip and at least you acknowledge you're anal! I just think you need to chill out a bit, because the fact that you were (or at least gave me the impression that you were) all stressed out probably didn't help in you enjoying the trip. If you just try and adopt an attitude of "it's a once and a lifetime opportunity", I think you would have enjoyed yourself much more!
Anywho, I hope you enjoy your car, and you'll probably be one of the one people with 19'' ZCP winters |

nice car and photos. just wanted to point out the autobahn speed limit sign you posted is not the standard sign. Those are around most major cities and other areas that can have high congestion, but they are used to regulate traffic due to a traffic slow down up ahead. The typical speed limit signs are the traditional sign posts on the side. there is a speed limit on about 60% of the autobahn now and its heavily monitored with speed cameras. Also there are white stripes on the road every few km's with sometimes a camera is hidden to monitor for tailgating. We get beautiful roads to play on here, but have to mind the speed limits when they are in effect and the tailgating. Just wanted to make sure any other euro delivery visitors don't get another souvenir they didn't want in the form of a hefty fine.

Thanks for the story and the pix, Mark. Very well put together.
What a beauty car - the MC Blue with the brown interior. Love it. Congrats.

WOW! Incredible! Its 1:30am where I am just about to pass out and took a peek on the blogs and just had to quickly flip through the pictures after reading the European Delivery in the title, to tired to read, plan to read what you wrote later on but from the pictures alone, looks like you went on an incredible journey! I ordered a new 335is which should be arriving mid June but could not get away for the European delivery, I envy you lol. If I ever buy an M car (probably my next bimmer) I will no doubt opt for European delivery, driving through rural Bavaria, the autobahn, the German countryside, even the ambiance of Europe alone in a BMW (an M car no less) is pure heaven. Again pictures look incredible, look forward to reading about your journey. If only more bimmer fans documented this kinda stuff and shared it with the rest of the BMW clan. Mark.... you are a lucky SOB lol!
