I found the answer to when you can use force to protect your property in Texas:
Deadly Force to Protect Property "A person is justified in using deadly force against another to protect his property to the degree he reasonably believes the force is immediately necessary to prevent the other's imminent commission of arson, burglary, robbery, theft during the nighttime or criminal mischief during the nighttime, and he reasonably believes that the property cannot be protected by any other means." "A person is justified in using deadly force against another to pervent the other who is fleeing after committing burglary, robbery, or theft during the nighttime, from escaping with the property and he reasonable believes that the property cannot be recovered by any other means; or, the use of force other than deadly force to protect or recover the property would expose him or another to a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury. (Nighttime is defined as the period 30 minutes after sunset until 30 minutes before sunrise.)" Remember, you can kill the asshole if it happens in Texas, as long as it is night time. |

God bless Texas. That should be a federal law.

I think everyone is jumping to conclusions that this was the work of kids, teens or even adults.
What about old people? Those daffy bastards are usually insane and out of control! .

What a shame. I am sorry that happened to you, and hope those jealous pieces of human trash get payback in a way far worse than what they inflicted to you brother. So sad.

OMG, EXACTLY what I would do...but I would turn my Boxer loose on them! Looking at these pix simply disgusted me. However, I am a HUGE believer in karma. One day, who ever did this to your car will be paid back, that you can believe. I'm sorry for all the anguish and trouble you now have to go through to get your car fixed!

E90 ZCP - I am late reading this, but let me join the others in wishing you all good luck in the repair. I hope that someday they will catch whom ever did this. Look forward to pictures of the completed project.
