Hardwiring radar detector

Which empty fuse slot are people using to hardwire a V1 or other detector?

Thanks.

I used a "mini add a fuse" from a auto parts store that has two fuse slots. make sure to pick up some extra 5 amp fuses. I use the homelink fuse slot and took the fuse out and put two 5 amps in the " add a fuse" and then plug that in where the homelink fuse was.

Thanks guys, I'm glad to see that the DIY has been of use to people. Makes having spent the time on it worth it.

Works on E93s too. I used the 5 amp fuse in slot #7.

I had wired my E90 328 the same way a few years ago. Interestingly, the torx head screw used for grounding was not present, so I ended up drilling a tiny hole in the metal support brace and used a small bolt/nut to attach the ground.
