Vegas Goers: Which Hotel Is Best From The List ?
i was originally going to stay at the palms but when i checked today, the price hiked to $1,756 for 4 nights from $1,120 . so i need a hotel close to the palms as that is where my friends and rest of wedding guests will be staying.
after doing research, i narrowed it down to a few possibilities all of which are priced about $1,150 for 4 nights. so for you vegas goers, what are your thoughts on the best hotel from this list? your input is much appreciated. thanks guys . bellagio 1.3 miles caesars 1.3 cosmopolitan 1.4 aria 1.4 venetian 1.5

I don't know when you were last at the Palms but it's not what it used to be... it sucks now.
I would go with Cosmo or Aria personally Caesar's is starting to show it's age, same with Bellagio. Venetian is super nice if you want to stay somewhere more upscale. |

I've stayed at the Cosmo once, and it's great, but I had used my Marriott points to cover the tab. I looked at what I would have paid normally and my jaw dropped.
All of those you listed are nice, so I'd find whatever you can get a deal on. |

I always love the Bellagio and the Aria is very nice as well. I haven't stayed at the Cosmo yet, but it seemed very impressive from what I have seen of it. They are definitely catering to a young, modern crowd.

How much time are you spending in the room? Any of those will suit your needs. Look into the Vdara too. I think all their rooms are suites too. Found a nice package deal with them and Soutwest when I went in November.

UncleWede has it right, why blow tons of money on a pimp room if you are just gonna sleep in it. I usually go with the MGM Grand, particularly since they just upgraded their rooms, have a nice poker room, and are at a monorail stop, should you not want to walk 1,800 miles to the north end of the strip. You can get rooms there fairly cheap ($100-140/night). We never pay anyway, as we constantly get comped nights for using their players club card. If you don't get one while your there, you are missing out on some sure fire freebies.
In any case, all the hotels will suffice when it comes to chasing hookers and cocaine. Win-win. |

I've never even heard of Cosmo or Aria. How about Treasure Island? LOL I once took a g/f to Circus Circus, and she emailed her sister who said your b/f must be really cheap.....

The new rooms at the Bellagio are quite nice, a massive improvement over the old, dated ones. The service is outstanding and is only matched by Wynn/Encore. Central location is perfect. The Venetian/Palazzo has huge, very nice rooms, but the service is not as consistently strong. Haven't stayed at the Cosmo but have spent time there. It is clearly the youngest, hippest, most energetic spot on the Strip at the moment.
It is easiest to get to the Palms from either the Bellagio or Caesars fwiw. |

I stayed at the Aria and liked it. You've got Haze night club in the basement if that's your thing.

I stayed in Bellagio, but I am sure they are all alike (Caesers, Paris, MGM, etc). Bellagio was nothing special, but good....I stayed in better hotels for roughly the same price.
