Oil Pressure and Rod Brg Condition

Excuse me if I missed the subject discussion in all the pages of rod bearing talk, but...

Is it feasible to monitor rod bearing wear by keeping a close eye on pressure? I was thinking of using my Blackstone reports to follow wear trends, plus a pressure gauge to watch for 'out-of-spec' pressure behavior.
