came from a DCT e90, it was fun but i felt useless behind the wheel.
6 speed makes it that much more rewarding

The power they can make and how fast they go even with them being 4k lbs is absolutely ridiculous!

Only reason we can get away with it is being 6k elevation, so our static compression is a bit lower then sea level. So be weary if you decide to pulley swap and you're down in that lovely oxygen rich air!

Exmowner, that sounds about right you being neck & neck on pump gas. He'd blow you away on a higher octane tune however.
I ran my ess 625 with a 100 octane tune & cat delete vs a dozen fbo gt-r's at multiple airstrip 40mph events here in so cal, the only gt-r I can pull on in a half mile is a stock one...intake/exhaust and they are 1 cars behind, e85 or race gas and they blow my doors of. There is an extensive library of videos out there showing these results... The sc kits out on the market put the m3 on par or slightly faster than a 458, z06, lp-560, etc...you are not going to pull bus lengths however. Just my experience as I've raced them all and watched another forum member (longboarder) have similar results. |

Very true. The jump from 6psi to 9psi was substantial, so very true. Went from 526 to 613. Raced the same gtr, before and after, and the FBO/tune (91) GTR beat me before by a couple cars, and now i get him by a couple cars.

OP I experienced something similar to this tonight. A white modded GT-R pulled up next to me revving and turbo whistling at me; just waiting to blow my doors. The harsh reality is that there is always a bigger faster fish. It seems the challenge that is greater than having the fastest nicest best performing car is simply being happy with what you have. Today I experienced answered prayer; I was with the lady of my dreams in the car of my dreams. Doesn't get any better...

At least you got GT-R'ed....I got GTI'ed sort of ...a couple teenagers were revving their modded boosted GTI in slow moving highway traffic today, and they wanted to do pulls "to see"...I was like, "where the hell are we pulling to?!?, idiots"...talk about teenagers driving dangerously...

Byob just sold his 2011 m3 and got a Gtr. He is one of the happiest people I know everytime he gets out of his car. The gtr is an icon and should be taken as one. I detect alot of negativity towards the Gtr and k think its pure jealousy. .
