It is annoying, but more importantly it puts me and everybody around me in danger when I'm blinded from a rider's headlight. Basically what you're saying is your safety is paramount to everyone else.

I call bullshit, when I was a 100% car cager I was less blinded by a bike with high beams than a SUV with regular HIDs.

I've NEVER had a bike blind me. Shit I can turn on my high beams stand in front of the bike and look at it directly from 5 feet and it's not nearly as bad as the suvs/trucks/cars/etc

P.S. I'm against 250's because they don't have the get up and go that's needed, even for the street.

good point about 250s and not enough power. Although the new ones are a bit better.
I'm thinking more 250s around the city and not highway speeds. I definitely wouldn't recommend much/any 250 driving at highway speeds unless you have some serious cajones

Agree. Not only that, but i typically only ride with high beam on during the day, not at night. Either way I'm flashing high beams when approaching an intersection.

I've never had anyone flash me for having bright lights. But in a car, after i put my suspension on i forgot to adjust the lights and people were flashing me immediately. So i'm thinking it's not a big deal to most people.

I have a ninja 250r as my first bike from a 50cc scooter. On the highway its not that bad but you definitely do not have much passing power. It will hit 105 mph though if you have enough room.

I recently had random thoughts of going down and I really haven't ridden since even though I have been thinking of upgrading since I got it.

Think I should just sell it or get a faster possibly more dangerous or possibly safer bike since I would be able to get out of dangers way.

Btw I live in Miami but I drive with extreme caution I never split lanes or drive recklessly.

in miami, I'd REALLY recommend getting a stronger bike now that you have a strong core riding basis, and if you're riding on any interstates.
a newer 600cc will give you a blast and will be more than enough.

Feel free to go for a liter, but if you're having thoughts of going down, the liter bike might actually put you down (oh and despite the heat down there...wear your gear, get some lightweight breathable mesh)

Over the years I've ridden tons of bikes, currently in my stable is a FZ1 and a Daytona 675. Looking at upgrading to a duc.

ducati 848 evos are awesome bikes, but unless you're doing the track, really overkill. a regular 848 will do just as well on the street. ultimately your call, both good bikes .
(make sure you know what you're getting into with duc maintenance, completely different than the jap counterparts)

^Ducati maintenance is a PITA. It's much more work since it's a Vtwin.

Agreed. The 848 is overkill. Get an BMW S1KRR. 6-10 week wait.

I'll be getting one of those eventually. Fucking insurance is TRIPLE what it is for my 675.

I have an 07' Ninja 650R currently. Have thought about getting a 2007 Yamaha R1 or Duc 1198 but may hold off a bit longer since I am buying the 5. May not be as exotic looking as other bikes but the Ninja 650R is a very fast street bike and good bang for the buck.

Question,

back in the honda/acura JDM days, I'd always get pulled over for my exhaust being "too loud", but all the harley guys would have bikes that were so fn loud I thought it was the end of time......but they still don't get pulled over.

why?

True. Harley's tend to ride a little slower than sport bike riders but if a cop wanted to they could pull us over for our loud aftermarket exhuasts.
