you should PM itsbrokeagain (Matt) from the E90post side of the forum - he's absolutely the man for all spring/coil installs (did my car and numerous others on the forum).

I about to attempt a spring change myself. Can't be that hard and a hell of a lot cheaper to buy a spring compressor than pay someone else to do the work.

Damn that's cheap. I was quoted between $400 - $500. 4 -5 hours labor at $100 per. Not including an alignment. That's one of the reasons I decided to try this myself. I don't see anything to technically challenging about it. Just take out a few bolts according to a DIY, then change springs and put them back. Torqued to spec.

There's nothing challenging at all to be honest. Just take your time and make sure you have a decent set of tools and a torque wrench. My biggest challenge when i did coilovers on my e46 m3 was space in my one car garage.

Yea, I got a cheap torque wrench. But I'm not building an engine, just tightening up suspension bolts so it doesn't need the same level of accuracy.

Just installed my Eibach springs today by myself in my garage with a floor jack and jack stands. It was pretty easy. Nothing technical about it at all, just takes some time. What a difference it looks great now. Hard to tell how the ride is until I get an alignment. Plus with the rain today I don't want to push it hard yet. If you have any basic mechanical skills and like to do stuff yourself I recommend trying the install. Just follow the DIYs on here and you'll be fine.
