Just thought I would provide a quick update. Finally went to the doctor and my wrist is broken from the airbag. So now splinted. On a side note, I ran the tough mudder the day before I went to the doctor, which wasn't a good idea given it was broken.
Still pending the payment amount for the totaled car, should know later this week. In terms of car, I just couldn't pull the trigger on a C63, so I put down a deposit to get on the waiting list for the M4. Bought my wife a Mini Cooper S (she always wanted) and will drive her old Touareg until the M4 arrives. |

When you put down the deposit for the M4 did they tell you how long it take? |

Cars are just cars, people are a whole different enchilada. As a parent, I am really glad to hear your daughter is fine. The broken wrist is a bummer but in the grand scheme of things, I think it could have been a lot worse. The car clearly worked as designed and that's something to be very thankful for.
Hope for a speedy and full recovery. |

Unfortunate experience. Good to hear the car was able to protect you and your daughter from injury. You can always get another M3.

I got into an accident with my daughter as well. Ended up going under a tractor trailer but both of us ended up with only scraps thanks to the excellent safety features of the e92 M3. Glad you and your daughter are ok. At the end of the day it's a machine that can be replaced built for your safety.

On a side note, BMW sent me a pretty comprehensive package that they want to investigate the accident, injuries etc.. to make the car safer. Pretty cool they are so proactive in trying to evaluate how the car performs in an accident. |

OP, glad things are ending up ok (at least, could have been a lot worse). Airbag breaking your wrist isn't good -- I wonder if that's why BMW is doing an investigation. I'll echo others in saying that the passenger compartment really held up well, so other than the airbag, I'm not sure what else they could have done better. Hope nothing lingers injury wise -- my wife had lingering chest pain for years after being t-boned by an inattentive driver (this one was purely the other drivers fault, the traffic light was out, meaning 4 way stop for everyone, but somehow he "saw a green light").
