VOB has an IB/silver 08 coupe. MSRP is $67,425. They offered me $57,500 a few days ago. I don't remember the options on the car, but it definitely doesn't have DCT. I wasn't interested, so I didn't try to negotiate or find out more about the car.

The two M3 sedans around here where the dealer got the dealer incentive won't even counter offer after I offered them 20k off MSRP.
Guess these dealerships aren't as desperate to sell like some of the fortunate people who got theirs at such a great price! |

There's a pretty big spread between $20K off and what most folks have gotten. Look at the $7500 as an additional reduction to "invoice" price for dealer, and you're still nowhere near that much below MSRP. For the one or two folks that claim to have paid $49-51K for a non-demo car, there are likely a slough of folks like me who were more than happy to take a slightly less stellar deal on the right car for them at a price unlikely to be seen again. In my case, it WAS a demo, albeit with only ~280 miles. I gave up more time on the warranty than most, but at 3 years I will be very, very close on mileage anyway so it's really of no consequence to my situation.
IOW, they likely viewed that offer as not seriously interested in the car, and thus the failure to counter. Happy hunting! If you want the car, just get it - best decision I've made in years. |

From my experience shopping for an M3 over the past month, more than a handful of dealerships were willing to sell the car for under 55k. In fact, I had talked down 4 separate dealerships to under 50k for a fully-loaded non-demo car. You just have to do your research and be diligent about attaining the deal. I spent several FULL DAYS just calling dealerships all around the country and assuring them that I was serious about the purchase. One good sales tactic: Get the price down to 52-53k. Then, give them your credit card number and say "if you can get the price down to 50k, charge a deposit on my card w/o even asking me." that's what I did and it worked beautifully. To be fair, everyone tells me that I'm a master haggler - so YMMV on this deal |

I am guessing you are talking about 2008's and not 2009's? |

Just FYI - during my search, I found 2 dealerships in Jersey, 2 dealerships in Virginia, 1 dealership in Illinois, and 1 dealership in MA with '08 coupes who were willing to sell them between 48 - 53k. They were all fully loaded, most were interlagos on silver, and most were non-demo.
Seriously, if you are diligent and do all the right research, you WILL get that 08 M3 for 50k or under. Don't be afraid to point to THIS thread to help your bargaining argument (I did and it helped me tremendously). Also, once you get one deal under 50k, make sure the dealership emails it to you, and use that as a bargaining tool w/ other dealerships. |

I also called a few dealerships and asked if they were willing to give me a list of all 08 coupes available nationwide. Of course, these won't include "punched" cars, so you've really gotta have some good googling skills Keep trying! |

Has anyone else been getting any crazy deals lately on the 2008s?
I'm working with a dealer who's taken off $15k from the MSRP. I'm trying to get them to go lower. It's still not within reach. |

I got mine for $15.5K off 2 weeks ago ($56K vs $71.5K MSRP, 6MT with every option), but was unaware of the $7,500 rebate; darn. The car had full warranty, but they sold it to a good customer of theirs who ended up having a problem with financing and returned the damn car with 600 miles the next day, so the sale never went thru.
That was the last car I found, so decided to take it. I thought it was a good deal since used ones were being sold for that much. Oh well. I'm very happy with my car, and at least they put window etching, paint/leather/carpet protection (which is crap IMO) included in the price. They wanted to charge me $500 extra when I was there, but I made them back off (creeps). Since the economy is getting better, and there're almost no cars left, those deals are probably over. With the very little mileage I'll put on mine, a full warranty was very important, plus I'm the original buyer on record (good for resale), so am a happy camper. Good luck. |

I wanted an M3 optioned exactly the way I wanted. And so I configured my M3 and negotiated about $5K off the MSRP. I couldn't be happier. |

There are still some 08's left across the country, and if you find a motivated dealer, you can get a very good price.
I recently did a search (using Autotrader) and found a new '08 fully loaded (Tech package, premium, cold weather, enhanced premium sound, IPOD adaptor, moonroof, 1 yr sat radio) and was able to negotiate a $9,500 reduction off of invoice. The car has an invoice of $62,500, and my price will be $53,000 (plus ttl). I put a $1,000 deposit on the car, and will be picking it up in 10 days. |

I located one brand new 08 E90M3.
MSRP is 65,XXX. 375 miles on it. Not a demo car. AW/Black/Carbon Trim/Premium Pkg/Tech Pkg/Cold Weather Pkg/SAT/iPod+USB/18" NO-Moonroof (bummer since it's a sedan). I spent about 45 mins negotiating (offered 50,500) but their firm price to me is 55XXX. They said invoice is about 60.XXX (I checked) and trunk money is 5k so they keep saying their firm price is 55XXX. Can anyone confirm BMW still offers 7,500? If dealer goes down to 52500, I'm planning to buy it this weekend. Please let me know, guys.

Give them your c/c # and asked them to charge the down pymt if they can do $52,500. If they say no, then let them know that you'll hold off on the purchase. Let them know that when they're ready to do $52,500....You'll buy the car. See if that works..... |
