Bottom line: Because other countries don't worry about offending people or pander to psychotic conservative groups who are on constant alert waiting for someone to say or do something that they can promptly take out of context and use as fodder to hurt the other person/group.

same in canada... nothing's ever funny. there are too many rules and regulations when it comes to advertising in the media.
