I wonder if using touch up paint and skilled auto detailer can fill, sand and polish it out??

Terribly sorry. Once you get it repaired do you have some alternatives to where you were parking it? I'd be worried it would get hit again.

At least you have that option. I had someone back into a previous car and smash the door in and the front quarter panel with no note. I did take the car to a great shop and the final result was flawless.

# rule nr 1 for me personal is.... never...and i mean never park my car where i can't see here ...and that is for outside...otherwise closed in my garage !
This is the best thing to do for our cars , and i wish you a good result with the repaint of your car !

That is the worst feeling in the world and I don't understand it either. I had it happen INSIDE the garage in NYC that I park in. I couldn't believe it.

I know the feeling. It happened to me about a year after I purchased my brand new 2005 GTO. On the bright side, you can probably get rid of that horrible orange peel from the original paint job.
