McGard or Rad wheel locks?
Basically have black lugs, so am wondering if I should get a set of 20 RAD lugs + their wheel locks (to match), or just get a set of 4 McGard locks with that black top.
Opinions welcome. |

I asked my parts manager and we have not heard of a set of rims being stolen in over 20 years. I would probably take a pass on both.

Normal and High-Security. High-Security having more keys. McGard makes the High-Security OEM locks. I have both the High-Security OEM and RAD locks. I use the RAD and painted them black.

I can second the OEM wheel locks. They are black, simple and look good with the rest of the lugs being OEM. They are also pretty inexpensive, maybe $40 or so online.

Ya i like them too and have them, but I need to get new ones with a 12mm extension. I don't think the BMW locks can be bought at that size.

Ok guys 1 more question. Would it be better to run a 36mm shank or 42mm shank lock for a 38mm shank bolt (12mm spacer)? RAD only makes those!
