Dropped a torx T25 into engine bay need help
I was changing the air filter and was tightening the last bolt when the T25 popped off the wrench and fell down into the engine area. It went right through the gap by the air induction port on the left that gets air from the hood and I heard 5-6 think-clink and then a loud clunk. It sounded like it hit the pan under neath the car.
I tried to look for it but there was nothing in plain sight. I moved the car front and back heard nothing moving. What are my options? |

pull the splash shield from the bottom of the car, it's probaly sitting in there. If you get under the car and give it a couple good smacks you should here it if it's laying on the plastic liners.

Or use a handy magnetic retrieval tool on an antenna like telescoping wand!

You can buy the magnetic antenna from autozone for 5 dollars, very helpful tool.

They are very handy to have around. I've dropped screws/bits before, and without it wouldn't of been able to retrieve what feel. But it is really annoying isn't it, last screw 'almost done' then you see the screwdriver bit come off.... ffs. |
