some clutch worries

so i havent had any luck with finding anyone who has had this same concern but does anyone know if i should be worried if i feel a weird thud when i release my clutch? (only noticeable when im not in gear or at standstill and pushing up and down on it)

I dont really know how to explain it other than it feels like something is hitting it every time i release the clutch (around catch point). It was very minor a couple weeks ago but it seems to be getting worse

The reason im worried is because my previous car i had the same feeling before my clutch just dropped to the floor and ended up needing to replace my master cylinder along with my clutch.

For a while ...I had the weirdest gritty/sand like feeling everytime I depressed the clutch..I think I may have glazed it..over time it just went away on it own..

Not sure if this helps

its an 08 coupe. before i posted i was reading about how some people didnt like how soft the clutch felt so they removed a spring on top of the clutch?. I'm thinking maybe its this spring? if its not too hard i might just go ahead and remove the spring and hopefully this will make it go away. I dont like how soft it feels either.
