Fraternity guys come in here...
Any current or old members.
I was just wondering what you all did for your pledge projects (not talking service projects, something you built or created). The most recent one we did was build a poker table. Discuss... Hopefully some funny stories come out of this. |

In my day I saw a bar.. a hookah room... a hookah table... numerous beer pong tables, a bicycle rack...and of course... the hookah table turned shamrock shaped stripper stage complete with poll...
Why - are you pledging somewhere right now? Isn't it about that time in the semester? JL |

my friend had these guys pledge by locking them(12 of them) in a small room with 12 kegs...they had 2 days, they couldnt leave there...he knew they would fail but was just messing with them...by the time it was time...they were all over the place half naked. One keg was stuck halfway into the wall. and one guy passed out and was soaked with beer. it was a disgusting scene honestly, but sooo funny. At least they got in. they finished alot of kegs though, like 7-8...he was impressed.

I did not do a fraternity, but in my college days I built:
- L shaped Bar complete with keg-o-rator and ice machine - Beer Pong Table with recessed cups, and later - artificial turf and JMU football field painted on. - Washers boards Its amazing what happens when you give an ambitious college student a circular saw and a hammer |

"I see!", said the blind man as he picked up his hammer and saw.

While that may be slightly humorous I still think it's absolutely unconscionable and inhumane... nonetheless I guess things have changed quite a bit. JL |

we had to build a concrete walkway, paint the entire house inside and out and make a stone garden area. Let's say one of the guys did not know how to use a jackhammer when we were taking out the old conrete and hit some kind of water main and jacking up the foundation. The entire first floor of the house was flooded...lol good times

We built a sweet ass deck off the back of the house. Craziest thing was two of my pledge bros bought all the materials (probably about $2k or so) on an amex and then called it in stolen. Those cats were nuts but I think they got away w/ it.
The brotherhood was blown away. I'm biased but we did an awesome job on that deck and it still looks fanstastic to this day. Sigma Phi Epslion Virginia Kappa Fall '92 |
