Help! Need stoptech st40 pads ASAP!

At the Watkins glen Boston cca event and front pads are running low!! Horrible planning on my end. If anyone could hook me up with a set of pads today evening (can drive to Syracuse or Rochester).

Would love any help!

Have you contacted Turner or Zeckhausen? Both are fairly close and could probably overnight priority or same day ship some to you.

Get the pads sent to the track instead of your house. If they are overnighted, they will get there when you do, and be ready when your current pads run out.

Turner is a good bet as they are close to a major city. They could be on the road by midday. Just using regular shipping, they are in CT almost next day, so you have a good chance to make it too WG be tomorrow with priority shipping.

Does Watkins Glen have a vendor on-site? Down here, OGRacing has a store at Summit Point.

Check about, the guy next to me bought a couple of E46 rotors from a vendor there ( this past saturday at the GVC BMW event) and I know someone has pads available...... There are at least 4-5 vendor there, ask around....

And Turner is one of the sponsors so you might get them directly from them there.....)

Plus many guys have extra sets that they would sell if they didn't need them that weekend ( I always have an extra set...).

Thank you all for the amazing inputs. Just ended the day and here is how it panned out.

1) Even before my first session, I checked in with HMS and they said that they didn't have any brake pads for me.

2) I asked around the pits and no one had any sets to spare. (Very few people at the two day session)

3) As per Richard's (M World) advice, I was able to get one session in with the rear pads swapped to the front.

4) After the session, I could tell that the fronts which were on the rears, were basically down to the backing plates, so I decided to not run anymore

5) Unfortunately, Zeckhausen could only get me the pad tomorrow with no guaranteed delivery time so that wouldn't help me

6) Tracking aside, some were concerned that rear pad conditions were so bad that I couldn't make the 25 mile trip back home, so I was facing having to leave the car at the track or even tow it home.

7) I chatted with HMS again and they spoke to the little speed shop in Rochester, who had the pads and were going to be at the track first thing tomorrow morning! Finally, some good news!

8) The day took an even better turn when an E36 M3 owner had a set of hawk pads with about 3 mms left for me to make the trip back home.

9) The final amazing bit of news! As I was pulling away, the HMS guy flagged me down with a box of pads in his hand! Could it be??....Turns out it could....They had a set of carbo metallic performance friction race pads!!!!

10) So I hunkered down in the garage and moved the stock rear pads back to the rear and put the new ones in. Thus, $375 later, I have race pads up front and street pads in the rear! While I am eternally grateful to HMS, if only they had taken 2 minutes to check in the morning if they had the pads

All is well in the end though!

I say "props" to HMS for not totally blowing you off and going back to have another look. They may have even called in a favor to find you pads and allowing you to get something out of the day. I am guessing that they won't be flagging you down in the parking lot anytime soon in the future after reading this.

I really didn't mean for that post to come off as a slight on hms. They actually had the pads all day but didn't realize that they would fit the stoptechs I expressed it more as a frustration with the situation rather than a critique of them.

ST40 pads...ask for older Porsche Pads. Might need to grind off some ears on top of the backing plate but they'll fit.
