AMP Trackday ...

Hey Guys -

Let's figure out a day to join 4sevens and warp10 at AMP. For me personally, I would prefer a random day during the week maybe in October or November, but I am sure there are only certain days when members can bring guests. Also I know not everyone has a flexible work schedule. Anyway let's make it happen and thanks in advance for the members being willing to set this up.

So what are some guest days?

4sevens and I are going to be there on thursday and talk to the owner and see what kind of a deal we could get for multiple guests. We had also thrown the idea around of getting an instructor as well for the day. We can bring guests as long as it is a member day. And yes the best days to do this would be a week day, normally only 4-5 cars all day show up, so it is basically your own track.

I would be in if its scheduled later in the year. If we do Dec, I'm in and if the group decides earlier then I'll have to catch you guys at another time. Right now until end of Nov is just all booked up with too much stuff for me.

I think the instructor is a great idea and having a small group would be good too.

I checked with Scott and he's willing to instruct and bring another quality instructor with him depending on which day. He's a great instructor.

Have a busy next few months so not sure of availability, but will keep lurking on the thread.

Guest fee is $250 (and you can only do this twice a year). We're trying to work out the cost of instruction right now.

I'm at over 400 laps as of today... I beat my best time yet by 1s AND had a 250lb ballast and just filled up on gas

^ haha Those super sports are absolutely amazing... it's only 2-3 seconds slower than race rubber!

So Dec 2nd or 3rd seems to be the dates we need to look at? Mondays are going to be the best since we would likely be the only people are there. So should we shoot for the 3rd?

I'm working through some final details with the instructor situation... Right now it looks like $450 total. $250 for the daily guest fee plus $200 for instruction. The student to instructor ratio looks to be 3 to 1. More details forthcoming...

Hey everyone - here's a quick update.

So basically it's going be $450. $250 goes to AMP as a guest fee and $200 goes to Scott and his instructors (http://www.siegelracing.com/). We can have as many drivers as long as its a multiple of three.

Monday or Tuesday is preferred. Optionally we could probably do a weekend but know that weekends have more cars on track - still less than a typical DE - but nothing like a weekday where there is minimal traffic and the track is pretty much yours - you can almost run any run group during the weekday.

Let's start with a list - everyone who is interested please post a list of dates you can do as well as your preference.

Once we lock in a date, we'll start taking deposits to lock in instruction...

I think we are up to 9, including my dad (boxster spider) so Dec 3rd seems to be the best day for everyone.
