Tire Mounting/ Install cost and recommendation in greater LA area?
How much does everyone pay to:
1) get tires removed 2) mount and balance a wheel 3) drill a hole into aftermarket wheel to fit damn TPMS sensor I going through my fourth set of wheels and the cost of mounting/dismounting is starting to rack up. Curious to find out if I'm over paying. Please list price and recommended shop, thx! |

Curious as well. I feel like I am overpaying too.
BTW- for the tpms sensor, doesn't it go right behind the valve stem?

oem bmw tpms does not fit in most aftermarket wheel valve stem holes. i heard there are converter kits but i have yet to see it.
most people drill another hole in the inner barrel to fit the tpms (i'm about to do the same to this set of wheels i just got). i measured it tonight and its 0.5" diameter hole. most people say credible rim shops should be able to do it for you. i pay $10 to dismount and $15 to mount & balance 20". but they leave hair-line scratches on my rims from time to time, like today (pissed). |
