Vorsteiner VFF-101 or Forgestar CF5V

Looking at both of these wheels for sale. For the set the Vorsteiner would be around $2200, while the Forgestar is around $1500 for a set. I was originally looking for a wheel that looks the most like the BBS FI wheel. These would go on my space grey E92. I would go with 19" in gloss black. If anyone has any experience with either of these brands please let me know, I am interested! Or if you know of anyone wanting to sell theirs. Thanks!

Vorsteiner ftw.

I've seen quite a few cracked Forgestars circling around the web. Have yet to see cracked Vorsteiners. You get what you pay for.

Found some Avant Garde for sale for $1000 that look almost identical to the BBS FI, heard anything about those?

Are you talking about the AG M580s? I ran the setup on my F30 not too far back and I loved it. Here's a picture of them on my F30:

There's a big difference in terms of weight and quality that you should consider before purchasing between the three brands mentioned.

How did you like those? Those would be the ones I would get. I do realize the big difference, I'm trying to get a good quality rim that isn't too heavy. The Vorsteiner would probably be the best choice but they told me I would not be able to get them until mid January because it is a new wheel. And if the Forgestar rims have cracking issues, I would want to stay away. The AG's look really good and are a good price, just concerned about weight and quality. Thanks!

I don't totally agree with this. Forgestar make a great and very strong flow formed wheel. Not saying Vorsteiners aren't better but Forgestars definitely are not some cheap, cracking wheel company, they build an exceptional wheel for their price points.

I use the "you get what you pay for" phase a lot, I wouldn't use it here

AG's are soft... they bend easy.

I'm gonna say it again... you get what you pay for!

GLWS!

OP, I'd definitely be willing to make an exception on the color. That's a gorgeous set.

I'm pretty sure there are less Vorsteiner wheels running around due to the higher pricing, lol.

I have the CF5V and love them! Can't comment on the durability since I only have about 6k miles on them. In the short time, there are ZERO chips and look as the day I got em (after cleaning them of course ). I have slammed a few liver jerking pot holes and everything is just fine.

They clean easy and my hands fit in the holes to clean the barrels. Tire pressure monitors fit.

Front Wheels:19x9.5 Tire-255/35R19
Rear Wheels:19x11 Tire-305/30R19

If only these were the black I'm afraid that color just won't look good on the space grey

Like these a lot, look really good! Sounds like the durability and everything is good for you, I might have to choose between these or the Avant Garde's, as the Vorsteiner is so expensive

wheels look great man!

how's the traction with the 625 kit?

did you happen to weigh the wheels before you put them on?

really think this may be the best option to get a 305 wheel on the back without braking the bank...

Thanks!

I didn't get the weight unfortunately.. They came mounted and balanced and ready to bolt on. I bolted them on with out thinking of it. I'll get it next time!

As for traction, I still break loose in high in 2nd.

Really... I wonder if that's more because of your tire selection. It probably hook better running AD08R's or R888s... still probably a big improvement over the skinny 265 rears.

Perfect! Do you happen to know the offsets?

I asked the vendor for the offsets but Forgestar didn't say. They did an excellent job with fitment.. I can barely fit my pinky finger in many places.

I had zero rubbing! Now, because the air filter for the ess supercharger pushes up against the wheel liner, the tire will touch/tickle the liner at full lock and on a hill. Factory suspension but, others have the same setup while lowered with no rubbing.

Damn, those look good. I loved the two sets of Forgestar wheels I had when I still owned my Z (I dabbled between 18" and 19" sets).
