Front wheel liner change using a heat gun

Hi all, my new alloy wheels are slightly rubbing off the front wheel liner on both sides. I need to push back the liner by a small amount to create extra room. Using a heat gun to make the change seems to be a better option that cutting some of the liner off. Has anyone used a heat gun to do this mod and any tips. I was told be careful of the washer reservoir, where is it located?

Cheers,

M

Used the heat gun on the liner today and it solved the slight rubbing problem. Didn't take off the liner, I just heated it up and then moulded.
