i find this a little odd. i didnt like how cantrells ducts where routed and put together, and they were 2.5 inch so did my own with gt4 ducts and 3 inch then sent colin pictures of my finished product. like magic they have a kit like mine? i used gt4 ducts in the same location and dont have backing plates either yet but seems strange.

This is nice but I still like the idea of using the OEM heatshield and some $10 flanges riveted on. Much less expensive, just as functional.

I like the idea of 2.5" hose since it will be easier to route.

2.5 inch hose makes it a lot easier (possible) to avoid clearance issues which allows the kit to be permanent.

You are correct sir. I'm ruuning my kit just to the fender liner now with 3 inch tubing. I haven't went to the backing plates yet for this reason. Think I may do the second section in 2.5 inch or run it without as I am already seeing big improvements in brake cooling.

$515 for the complete bare aluminum kit
$615 for powder coated
Approx $715 for carbon fibre

Its cheaper, and it fits.

I've only seen the pics Cantrell sent me. Colin Cantrell told me that they have fixed that issue. I will know when my stuff arrives

So who is our group buy concierge? I am planning on giving them a call soon but will hold off if someone is planning a GB for real (not that we know that they'd be down to do one).

Really just waitin for a review. Plan on purchasing if reviews are good, group buy or not. It is always nice to save some $$$ though.

If the backing plates fit decently then it does its job and I'd buy it. Having 2.5" ducts force air to your rotors at speed absolutely will cool the brakes a ton, it just is a matter of backing plate fitment. And since they've made plates before for our cars I figure it should be okay.

Would these be good if you were to upgrade to BBK's?

Here is the photo of the new backing plates and ducts - just received from Colin Cantrell.
Still comes out upside down - does anyone know why?

Cool looking forward to your install. Do the stock backing plates mount with only 2 bolts too?
