I believe seat width is also stored - it comes as part of the standard electric seat package in the UK car.

Phew! Hope that covers everything!
Wow, thanks, it sounds like the keys really store ALL of the customizations. Awesome!

Fantastic car. Wish I had one.

Black is subtle though. It doesn't jump out as an M3 as much as some of the other colours, which is probably a good thing.

No, but I think there are only two of us on this board right now who have taken delivery. I suspect people who don't use this forum are unlikely to post pictures of their cars on here...

Very nice! Two questions:

1. So the M3s are coming from BMW with Michelin PS2s as stock equipment?
2. Anyone know if the alchanrite (sp) ceiling is going to be an option for the M3 like in the M5 and M6?

You're talking about alcantara headliner, which is an option for the M5/M6.

No, the M3 doesn't have that option.

The M3 comes with anthracite headliner which is standard.

Is anthracite the same headliner that comes standard on the 2006 330i? If so, that's a big disappointment. I was really hoping to have the option to get the suede headliner that comes on the M5/M6, even if it cost $1,500 more.

Anthracite is the name of the black headliner. Alcantara is a synthetic suede. the M5 and M6 come with an optional Anthracite Alcantara headliner.

Hi FM, thanks for taking the time to post the pics and particularly for your excellent written review - perhaps the best I have seen.

One question on the seats:

I have an e46 M3 and find the seats great, however, I test drove a 335 coupe with sport seats and found them too tight/hugging. This was even with the seats on their most relaxed setting. It has put me off the car.

Since reading forums all weekend and, particularly, your review, I am almost certainly going for an M3. Question is, are the seats comfortable like the e46M3, or, are they more like the 335 sports seats? I am c.190lbs/90kgs and 6'1''. I am not assuming you know the e46 too well as I know you only had it for a couple of weekends and I'm not sure if you have tried the 335. Any general info/comprrison would be great.

Thanks again,

S
