gear whine under acceleration?
I have 08 6MT and have noticed gear whine under acceleration, seems to be most noticeable in 6 gear on the freeway. Not super loud, radio usually hides it, first noticed it as a passenger in my car. Goes away when coasting or very light on the throttle.
Wonder if this is normal or not, maybe the rear diff or something? Taking my car into service on Monday and will ask them to take a look if not. Didn't come up with anything super relevant searching so thinking maybe not. thanks Jeff |

I changed gears to 4.10s in my mustang and its done that since but don't think its normal for a car that previously didn't to start without something being wrong. I thought it was a function of backlash adjustment when setting the ring and pinion up and the type of gear.
