Harrop twin screw sc for s65

Did anyone catch the Harrop SC'd E92 M3 @ BimmerFest this past weekend? They actually got a twin screw SC running...and people said it could not be done . The kit looked OE quality, by far the cleanest setup I have seen out of all the kits out there...if the manifold had an M logo it could easily be mistaken for a factory job.

It had me drooling, as I can only imagine the down-low torque it will deliver. Now the big question will be tune...but aren't all the kits out there

Either way, they are promising a fall release date with an MSRP of $13K...it will be an interesting fall & winter

anyone can design a kit, bolt it up. that isn't the hard part.

i'm in to see a review on a tune/how many miles they tested the kit/track tested or not.

I saw that kit at Bimmerfest and was shocked to see that someone was finally able to make a twin-screw system. I'm definitely excited to see some more data and some more cars with this kit going around. I agree what it is said above, tuning is the issue with these kits, not hardware; however, knowing Harrop's reputation for working with the OEM's and close ties to Eaton, you'd guess it's a solid kit. It's great to see some new kits out there like Evolve and Harrop....curious to see how they compete with ESS, VF, Gintani, etc.

I saw it there (and knew about it for months beforehand).

Very nice looking kit. High quality. It's going to be nice to see a positive displacement setup for e9x M3 once the tuning aspects are ironed out

This was my highlight of the show, I was not expecting to see something new and innovative. The guys were very cool and talked me and my friend through the setup, its not a twin screw, however it has twin liquid to air inter coolerspeak TQ @ 1800 RPM, etc.

I think a well tuned roots setup on the S65 utilizing 8 ITBs is a tastey proposition.....looking forward to the Fall release

That was my car at Bimmerfest. I'll try to keep you guys updated as best that I can, I wasn't able to talk specifics prior to the launch at Bimmerfest. I actually flew out to Californina to check in on the build and of course go to the show, but had to head back to New Jersey before doing either.

Thank you! I considered Interlagos as well, great color! I am DYING to see the wheels in person on the car since pictures do the paint no justice. Going with the gold BBS E88s wasn't the easiest choice...

96LTWM3,

Two questions: 1. Is your car lowered in signature pic. 2. Are those the OEM GTS (black) rims on your car?

Thanks.

Thanks, forgive my ignorance "LCs"? Your car looks awesome, BTW. I have a IB on order and have been considering painting rims black.

Did you have EDC?

Wonder where/which way the blower outlet is oriented? Very cool. Way more interesting to me than the centrifugal setups, packaging seems so much cleaner. Wonder if they have a sandwich air/water intercooler or something similar in there, looks plumbed for it? I dig the stock airbox too

Haven't started, just interested in seeing it materialize with our without my involvement. Had a cool tuning conversation with Jason from Aviva @ Bimmerfest.

Looks like the supercharger is in the middle, with liquid to air intercoolers on each cylinder bank sandwiched between the manifold and the throttle bodies. Based on this, i'm guessing the outlet of the supercharger is facing up. That's all speculation, of course.

Looks like pretty clever packaging. Interested to see how it performs.
