Help please
I got all my wheels road force balanced at Al's hub cap. I did it 3 times and I still get a shake in my steering wheel at 75mph to 85 mph. Anyone have any idea what it could be?
Thanks in advanced. |

How many miles on them ? Sometimes tires with softer compound will develop flat spots and needs some break in miles to perform well.
You can also go to ACM and have them rebalance them since some places don't get their machines calibrated often. |

1. It could be a bent wheel.
2. It could be an out of round tire. Both above would be visible on a balancing machine. 3. It could be a balancing machine in need of recalibration. 4. If you have aftermarket wheels, in case they are not hubcentric a small hubring would do the trick. 5. In case of an aftermarket wheel, it could be that one of the wheels was not drilled properly - bolt pattern is off. 6. You need an alignment. 7. Certain suspension components need replacement. The likelihood gets smaller from 1-7. |

Verify if ur wheels require Concentric Rings. Some wheels require them. A way 2 check if u need them is to lift one side with a jack and with the wheel bolted on try and force, by hand, the wheel to wobble. If it does u need the rings.
Next u have 2 take it somewhere else to road force balance. I seriously recommend ACM. I had a similar issue and with two balances issue gone. Last check is if any wheel is dented. That's another obvious cause. Good luck. |

Fair Lawn, NJ 07410 201-666-3500 Could be your tire wear, a bend (some aren't visible), poor balancing (some machines are better than others), tire pressure. Give me a shout at the shop and we'll see what we can do for you! |
