Good point. That may be one of the most counterintuitive aspects of car control. If you're understeering, don't crank in more steering. Rather, unwind so that your tires can get more grip and turn better. It took a lot of driving for me to learn that and I'm still not a master of it.

For oversteer, I was always taught the "correct-pause-recover" mantra. In most all of the spinout vids that I've seen, seems like folks don't react to the pause in time to unwind the aggressive countersteer that they've locked in and actually spinout to the opposite side. Watching some of the pros it almost seems like a "twitch" in the steering--counter and back very quickly.

As for the throttle, it all depends on WHY the back end is coming around. If you lifted in mid-corner and now have drop-throttle oversteer, then a gentle throttle application (30%) will help shift weight back to the rear wheels and gain traction. If however you are sliding because of over-aggressive throttle, then breathing back on the throttle a little will restore grip to the rear tires.

What interior detailing, it's gonna get dirty/dusty again (got 5 more track days this month alone). Just wiped it down and used air hose.

lulz, re: hay shortage in TX

Here is another off video which I was told by my instructor is the correct way to go off. I knew I wasn't going to make it so I just went straight off and plowed the field...my contribution to the hay shortage in TX.

That was funny to watch with the camera sitting so low on the front bumper. The grass looks enormous! Awesome save by the way! Didn't slow you down TOO much either

Yeah, I still laugh everytime I watch that.

It was 100 degrees outside so I couldn't slow down otherwise there would have been a massive fire. And a ton of people pissed off...pissed off at me

Too funny, we do the same at Boston chapter's autocross events.
