My M3 status 112

Just spoke to my CA, he said my car is status 112 and scheduled for March production. I have DCT on my car, but I do not have 19" wheels. I placed my order Jan 29, so I guess maybe January 31 was the cut of date indeed. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info

I have the same spec as you and i got my order in on 1/31. Go check BMW Owner's circle and do Order Tracking, does it say On Order or Scheduled for Production??

BTW which dealer in NJ did you order through? Mine is Difeo.

I actually go to school in Michigan, so I ordered my car through a dealership in MI. I went to the owners circle, but it said "on order." So I called back and spoke to the sales manager. He said he personally called in to check on the status and my car is scheduled for production in March. I asked him is it "112" and he said that it was. I asked him if the car will get here in April and he told me first week of May the latest. He also said that another customer's car that was on order with DCT got pushed back to April production.

I see, interesting...

It says "On order" or me too on OC, i guess ill call my guy tomorrow and confirm if it is 112. As for the order with DCT that got pushed back, did he order after 1/31? Perhaps thats what bumped him back.

FYI, I placed my original order at the end of December ... It was a Feb build ... infact it would have being built by now ... however at the last moment I added M-DCT to the order around Jan 29th. After all of that it still got pushed to April ... so I'm not sure how they decided to push what cars.

I will call the manager tomorrow and try to get details. I'll ask him if he knows why certain cars get pushed back and why certain cars remain in production. He seemed very certain this time about my vehicle. On previous occasions i had asked him if he can give me assurances to the delivery date and he would not, until today.

Are you sure 112 corresponds to "scheduled for production" on OC? I was thinking "scheduled for production" might mean 150 as the ordering guide states it only takes 2-3 days for the car to be in the manufacturing line after you get the "scheduled for production" message. Maybe GregW can clarify since he went through this?

When my car went to 150 status OC indicated scheduled for production the same day.

From the order reference chart. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107567

It says 112:Order scheduled for Production.

So i just assumed that on the OC it would say the same instead of "On Order"

It is quite confusing, perhaps Greg or someone else who has gone through all the processes can clear this up.

I was trying to. My car remained "on order" on OC although 112 at the dealer. When the dealer went to 150 OC changed to "scheduled for production".

My car was produced/completed two days ago and as of earlier today it was still listed as "scheduled for production" on OC. I just checked OC and it indicates "awaiting transport"..

Thanks for the clarification Devo.

Right, this is what I figured since cars were spending 2-3 weeks in 112. "Scheduled for production" seems to indicate 150, which is a locked in state, whereas things can still change in 112.

Was/is the 800 number accurate? The guide says OC is off by 2-3 days.

Yes, that is exactly how I understand it and how it played out for me. The 800 number was helpful, although I only used that service once. Yes, OC is at least two days behind.

Owner's Circle is not nearly as specific as the information you can get from the Vehicle Inquiry your CA does on the DCS. It will say "On Order" until it flips to 150. OC is pretty worthless. I just have my salesperson update me every few days.
