I just got my production number on Friday. Took 2 weeks after the deposit. Anticipating a late May/early June delivery.

Was hoping to get it for the Fast 6 premier on May 24th (semi-kidding).

Agreed!

I'm excited to be getting "one of" the last ones - will feel like owning a piece of history.

Munich

Picked car up Saturday - quick blast up to a closed Nurburgring and then back to Munich tonight for car drop off and flight home tomorrow morning.

The sound of the V8 in this car is simply intoxicating - my S54 sounded great too, but this is on another level. There will never be another M3 like this - get your orders in.

Should see the car state side in 4-5 weeks. Then the modding will begin. New wheels and tires are waiting for the car and other mods on order. Can't wait to get this thing on the track.

I hope that the production goes past what they anticipate so that everyone that wants possibly the last NA M can get one. I know I'm glad I did.
Sure, anything is possible and exceptions do happen. But these are RARE events.

It's complex (and very expensive) to run the factories, and BMW doesn't just make decisions on the fly, and that's why they plan their factories and stick to their plans (with exceptions only in unforeseen circumstances).

BMWNA already said there will be no e92's produced (M's or otherwise) alongside the F32. So, it's VERY unlikely that new e92 M3 will be produced past June.

So.. the ultimate question is. Are they still taking orders after next week?
My dealer usually provides pretty accurate info, but some forum members are flaming me and saying otherwise.

IMO, even if BMW takes the E92 order NOW, they are still pushing it and maxing their capacities to have all orders produced before July along with all the existing orders.

what is the truth!?

Checa sent an email right now to BMW just to confirm that June is still the date of the end of this awesome car. ill have the answer monday but June is most likely still the official date.
any update?

BMW is still taking orders provided your dealer has open allocations. The M3 allocations are drying up fast as some of the dealers will tell you.

Why don't you e-mail some of the board sponsors (Steve Thomas BMW - Ryan/Checa, David Aviles, etc.) and find out if they have any allocations for April/May/June production builds? I can also refer you to a dealer who probably still has one in So Cal.

I have a late May build to be picked up in Munich.

sorry for the delay, yes we are still taking orders. right now we are currently sold out of April allocations but we are taking orders for May allocation now. After that most likely all the allocations will be dried up and you will have to either get lucky and find a dealer with allocation left and pay a premium or find one on the lot.

the moral to what I am saying is if you plan on getting a e9xM3 before they are gone I would highly suggest you act now.

as far as the reply from BMW, They have not replied back to us yet, prob hear something today.

Just order your car already and spare us the drama! Lol! You are biting your dealer's "next week is the end" drama hook, line and sinker. Man up and do it! What are you waiting for?

Gotta go with the E92. Never again will there be another N/A V8 from BMW based on EPA standards.

I think Buying the E92M a year or two ago was a good decision, but how can you buy an M3 knowing that the new models are right around the corner?

Unless you only keep your cars for 2-3 years max.

Folks are buying to get the V8. Will the E9x see a loss in value when the M3/M4 is introduced? Sure, but there some who do not want the turbo engine... I'm sure the M3/M4 will be an excellent car but I had a bad experience with an older Audi turbo and that factored into my decision to pass on the F10 550 and go with the M3. It wasn't the only factor by any means, the size and ride were also issues.

Your statement is true only if you equate "new" to "better."

In terms of driving dynamics, many still consider the e90 better than the f30, and there is a good number of people who are betting it'll be same for the M3/4 variants (e.g. V8, hydraulic steering, etc.).

And, by the way, many BMW buyers/leasees keep their cars about 3 years.

If my dealer lied to me, YES i will be bitter. But he has been doing this for almost 15years, and we have bought many bimmers from him ever since.

He's highly reputable according to Long Tran, and some guys from Rennspec and the Mshop.

anyways...the reason why this issue matters to me is because I dont have the money now. My fam and I usually just pay the cash up front, because my parents are against finance and lease (traditional AzN mindset). So i gotta squeeze $85k from somewhere. I can really just afford the 335is, F30 335i or the 435i (assuming it is only 10%> MSRP of 335i), I am close, but not quite there yet......lol

So if any dealer in SoCal can wait for me. I only need another month.

Additionally, I found an E46 M3 M/T with 11,000miles. Selling for $32,000....what do you guys think?

I'm also a cash buyer, so I can relate.

Placing an order does not force you to complete the transaction (although I wouldn't recommend bailing out on a commitment to buy). So, you place an order now for May production, and you wouldn't need to pay for it until it's delivered in May/June. Some dealers will ask for a refundable deposit, but as the name implies, it's refundable.

I have already factored that in. I am gonna need around 2-3 months to make/saveup that extra chunk of money.

And i cant F* my dealer over like this as we have known him for over 10 years already. Even tho we know the car will sell, managers dont like it.

Maybe its not meant to be, atm. I might have to be stuck with a non-M for another cycle. the upside is, I will have extra $ to mod it.

If I dont reply to this thread, I will see you guy in a few years. bye M3post....=(

Seems like you're just being your own worst enemy here.

Your dealer is there to sell you a car, not to be your best friend. Your loyalty should only go as far as they're willing to be honest with you. Unless you're buying from another family member and there's some unspoken understanding, you're doing yourself a disservice.

As for the paying cash stuff... if it's your money, your car and this is what you want, just get the financing and pay it off in 2013. It's not like you're committing to a multi-year repayment term. You can always finance for 5 yrs, and pay it all off the next month if you wanted.
