M3 vs. X6M
Buddy of mine just picked up his 2011.5 MR E93, chipped and full Akra. He took me out for a spin and we hit the Autobahn. There was a Black X6M in front of us and I guess seeing the MR M3 in his rear view he decided to play.......... Chipped E93 with full Akra..... had NO CHANCE. That X6M pulled him like a raped ape. Not sure if the results would be much different with an E90 or E92..... thoughts???? Experience?

Gotta love FI cars .. with simple software reprogramming that thing can make over 700hp.. unless you are supercharged, no chance.

Weight becomes less and less of a factor the faster you go. Huge aerodynamic difference between these two. Is the X6M speed limited? I know I'd rather be in the M3 above 150 mph.
A couple of months ago a X5M wanted to race me when I was on my bike. I thought, really? I'm sure the X5/6Ms are quick, but they aren't hyperbike quick. I just let the idiot go.

Up top, hp wins.. the X6M stock (555hp) makes more so I don't think it even matters if it was modified.. I know it's heavier, but once it's moving well into triple digits it's a pure hp battle..

Stock for stock the E93 M3 is slower than a X6M
http://www.fastestlaps.com/compariso...-bmw_x6_m.html On the other hand, the E92 M3 is indeed faster than a X6M stock for stock http://www.fastestlaps.com/compariso...-bmw_x6_m.html But a simple chip tune on the X6M and the game is over for M3...

From a rolling start I raced a friends X6M and he was beside me until about 120 km/h but the faster we went the bigger the gap was. At about 250/260 he was like 3 car length behind me.

If an X6M looks like an aztec then you must often confuse Fieros for Ferraris.

Just stare at SUVs and you can understand why someone might go for something a little unconventional. If you don't like it though, fine. It just drives me nuts whenever an Aztek is brought up as a comparison. A buddy of mine calls my X6M "the warthog". I'll take that as a term of endearment.

The only "styling cue" is that the back of the roof isn't squared off. Other than that practically nothing. Like I said, if you think they're similiar you probably confuse fieros and ferraris.

^^^That's the result I would expect. I have used a Vbox to measure acceleration in my X6M and it pumps out a consistent 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, 0-100 in 10.5 seconds, and a quarter in mid 12s at 109ish.

Those of you who think the X6M is ugly have never seen one in person.
It's Ballin' Edit: That's Insanely fast for an SUV. I'd love to have one of these (5 or 6), and a turbo S lol. |
