Anyone know a good car shipping company from NJ to CALI
Hi,
I'm thinking of purchasing a car from NY, and was wondering if anyone know a reliable shipping company. Thanks! |

I used Nationwide Transport Services to ship my car from LA to NY and they were decent - had good reviews, car came on time with no extra miles on the odometer and no damage of any kind that I could notice. They were also one of the cheaper companies I spoke with. I didn't do enclosed transport which you might want though, I just covered my car with 3M tape. Props for moving to cali, I can't wait to move back.

Intercity Lines....tell them you are 6 speed.com member (doesn't matter they don't check) & they have a special rate.
Had a quote last month for a friend from MD to WA $1750 + - enclosed. I think to CA it's cheaper, because they have more runs. http://www.intercitylines.com/

I will second the recommendation for Intercity Lines and the 6speed online discount. I just moved from CT to the Atlanta area last week and used Intercity to ship my M3. The car arrived in three days and in perfect condition.

I shipped my M cross country from Washington state to NJ using uShip; they had a bunch of bids for me from both smaller companies and larger brokers.
I ended up paying slightly extra (+100 bucks, if I remember correctly) to place my car on the top of the carrier. Bids were between $1110 to $1200 all told, across about 15 different bids. Going for a fully enclosed will set you back a bit more, but I had a great experience with the guys who picked up and dropped off my car. |

I am using Reliable Carriers next week. They do the cars for Mecum, RM Auctions and Barrett Jackson.

Can't go wrong wth Intercity, sometimes you can get an incredible deal from them.
I recently used GT Transport from TX to PA for enclosed transport, great price, great service. gt-ms.com/ |

Reliable just came yesterday to take one of my cars. I got to drive it onboard. It left sitting directly behind a GT40. Driver was super nice, professional and knowledgeable.

And please get enclosed if you're considering open. Nothing like finding your car full of debris and bird crap after a long trip. |

Found this thread as I'm moving from Baltimore to San Fran/Bay Area next month.
I have an auction going on Uship.com. Also have quote requests in to Intercity. Just got a quote from Reliable for $2,363! WTF! That's way over what I was expecting? |

Gran Turismo Motorsports. They shipped my R8 from Houston to NYC for under $1100. 2 Russian guys, very nice and helpful, no damage at ALL. Will use them every time.
Ask for KEN at http://gt-ms.com/ FYI - The guys are more or less independent contractors, so their price is usually a couple hundred under what Ken will ask for....so definitely try to negotiate. Many companies are like this.
